The IHF makes Just Apparel possible. Its central office has supported the development of JA from project design to fundraising and on to its launch in September 2007. The IHF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers grassroots organizations worldwide to implement innovative solutions that meet the self-stated needs of their communities through collaborative, long-lasting partnerships with students and young leaders. The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding (Dartmouth College)
The Dickey Center awarded a Richard D. Lombard Public Service Fellowship to Ryan McAnnally-Linz to serve as the Just Apparel Project Manager for its first year of operations.
DO Something.org Awards Plum Grant to Just Apparel
DO Something.org awarded a Plum Grant to Heidi McAnnally-Linz of Just Apparel in September 2008 to support our operating costs and publicity materials.
Jacob Gunn-Glannville
Jacob Glanville performed the web development and back-end programming for the Just Apparel website. Having grown up in Guatemala, he now lives in the California Bay Area. When not developing websites for Guatemalan non-profits, he is active in bioinformatics research. More examples of his work can be found on his website.
Megan Spelman
Megan Spelman, a freelance photographer from Flint, MI, has donated her services to provide images for Just Apparel materials and photo-documentation of our work. Megan is the Director of Fotokids, a Guatemala-based project that supports children from poor neighborhoods and communities as they develop useful, employable skills as a means to self-exploration, expression, and discovery, in Santiago Atitlán. Before coming to Guatemala, Megan worked as a photo journalist for the Los Angeles Times and the Flint Journal, among other US newspapers. Sarah Mawhorter
Sarah Mawhorter lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. She designed the Just Apparel logo and title font, came up with the look for the website, and has been helping out with other graphic design needs. She is currently the Communications Director for Dan Ionescu Architects & Planners, and is pursuing a career in architecture and urban design focused on affordable housing and public spaces.
Plain Truth Ministries (PTM)
PTM has generously offered to run stories about Just Apparel and Santiago Atitlán, as well as donating advertising space in its publication, Plain Truth Magazine. Additionally, PTM distributes monthly e-mail updates about Just Apparel as part of its regular mailings and has been a consistent financial contributor to Just Apparel since providing our first committed donation in Spring 2007.
